De afgelopen 10 jaar heb ik hem wel 50 keer gezien, denk ik.
Met Russel Crowe en Marion Cotillard in de hoofdrol verhaalt de oorspronkelijke roman over een aandelenhandelaar op de Londense beurs (Russel Crowe), die van zijn oom een landgoed in de Provence in Frankrijk erft.
De op geld beluste Max, gespeeld door Russell Crowe ziet aanvankelijk dollartekens.
Doch doordat het landgoed met villa niet louter onroerend goed vertegenwoordigt, maar ook een ziel heeft, krijgt het verhaal een totaal andere onverwachte wending. Sommige huizen hebben in het geheel geen ziel en wisselen zonder enige emotie naar de volgende bezitter. Soms zit er een huis bij, dat een uitzondering op de regel is.
Als je met wat huisarbeid en veel geluk een wijngaard aan te leggen, kun je na jarenlang zwoegen letterlijk en figuurlijk de vruchten van je inspanningen plukken.

Mij is het jammer genoeg de afgelopen jaren niet gelukt. Door de droogte van de klimaatverandering ( De Sahara is aan het oprukken van Marokko naar Andalucia) en waarschijnlijk de verkeerde terroire, kon ik bakken met water aan blijven slijpen en zag dan nog de kleine stekken onder mijn handen verdrogen.

Ik heb altijd gezegd: “Je moet niet proberen om ijsberen in de Sahara te fokken.!”.....
Dus het project ”wijngaard” is treurig genoeg van de baan en koop ik mijn flesje rood vruchtensap beter in de supermarkt.

De Londense aandelenhandelaar, Russel Crowe, heeft veel succes bij de vrouwtjes, maar valt al een blok voor de ongekunstelde charmes van Fanny Chenal (Marion Cotillard).

Door haar eenvoud en zelfstandige houding in haar leven verovert ze het hart van Max en laat ze opnieuw na lange tijd de liefde toe in haar drukke Franse bestaan....

I saw Abbie Cornish first time in the movie A Good Year with Russel Crowe and Marion Cotillard.
The australian actress seems to be a rapper as well.
She has been inked with a small Tattoo on her finger and a text-Tattoo on het wrist of a love sonnet of the poet John Keat.

Maybe Abbie is interestered in doing to do some spectacular with her Tattoos. So I´m going to ask her in an open letter.....

"Hello Abbie Cornish.......I am working on a project that is called “Tattoo Donor for Donors Organs”.
This project includes the start of a foundation that provides donor organs for patients that are waiting for a transplantation……
Another goal of the future Tattoo Donor Foundation is to ground laboraties all over the world to grow at large scale new skin for people with burns........to grow other organs for transplant..... and last not least to do research on viruses and bacteria. And when I say to build laboratory's all over the world..... then I mean ALL over the world. And not only in the rich Western world.

First: The movie “A Good Year”is my favorite film all time.!
Second: Your saying: “The chances of me getting a Tattoo are none and f**k all” could come directly out my article about Tattoos.
Nevertheless I am starting a foundation about Tattoos that is called the Tattoo Donor Foundation .
From the movie A Good Year I've learned that life is not only about money and a career.

So I decided after having had a good life to do something back to the world and to dedicate my last years to charity. Only in the countryside I got the rest and the inspiration to write. In this way Tattoo Donor has the privilege of not being interested in money or fame. So I am glad to say to you that all the proceeds of the auctions in Sotheby's go to charity.! All...!!!
